The Snæfellsnes Peninsula Photo Tour is a splendid day trip. The Snæfellsnes peninsula is often called “Iceland in a nutshell” as you can see and photograph there most of Iceland’s nature phenomena as well as small picturesque fishing villages. Our first stop after a two hour’s drive from Reykjavik is the beautiful black church of Budir as well as the surrounding lava field and yellow beaches.
The Budir lava field is by many considered the most beautiful in Iceland because of its rock formations and flora. Then we drive to Arnarstapi fishing village and photograph the small harbour with its fishing boats as well as the cliffs filled with birds like kittywakes, fulmars, gulls, eidur ducks etc. A heaven for photographers.
We then drive to the Kirkjufell mountain with its complementing waterfalls. This mountain with its waterfall is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Iceland be it day or night, winter or summer. Bring warm clothes.
